Schedule
The summer school will begin at 9 am on Monday 13th June and closes on Saturday, 18th of June with an Entrepreneurial Hackathon. There will be a mix of lectures and hands-on work, with presentations interleaved by practical development sessions throughout the day. The schedule for each day will be published soon.
Entrepreneurial Hackathon
This years’ edition of the summer school will also help participants develop entrepreneurial skills and translate research into ideas and ventures. In the traditional last day’s hackathon, participants will be given a design problem to work on in small groups applying the techniques taught during the summer school. On top of that, experts from Humane AI Net and German Entrepreneurship will teach them about entrepreneurial mindset, the Lean Startup Method, and targeted communication of ideas through Pitching, among other topics. Whenever there are questions, participants will be supported by professional coaches who have founded startups themselves and can help with first-hand experience and knowledge.
Since 2008, German Entrepreneurship GmbH has been promoting innovation in companies of all sizes – from DAX corporations to medium-sized enterprises to start-ups. For example, they operate their own Master Accelerator for early-stage startups, the German Accelerator for later-stage startups funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy Climate Protection, are co-founders of the EU-India Innocenter and as Work Package Leader for “Innovation Ecosystem” a core partner in the Humane AI Network, a Horizon Europe network of 53 research institutions and industry partners working towards a European vision for human-centric Artificial Intelligence. They also help companies set up their own corporate accelerators, such as the VW Data:Lab or the Siemens AI Lab, among others. Since their founding, German Entrepreneurship have accompanied more than 730 startups such as Celonis, Flixbus, Foodora, N26 and Signavio on their way. In more than 500 innovation projects, they have developed and successfully implemented customized solutions and concepts for numerous customers and partners from various industries.
